Chrysalis Tarot Deck
The Chrysalis Tarot is a richly illustrated deck that draws on mythology, multicultural imagery, and Otherworld archetypes to open up new pathways into the tarot's symbolic world. The four Minor Arcana suits have been renamed — Stones for Pentacles, Mirrors for Cups, Spirals for Wands, and Scrolls for Swords — giving the deck its own internal language. The Court Cards are presented as a troupe of medieval messengers, each carrying a distinct energy.
Holly Sierra's vibrant paintings reflect years of travel and artistic study, particularly her time living in Asia, and bring together influences from folk art, fine art, and the decorative traditions of many cultures. Author Toney Brooks, who holds a doctorate in Metaphysical Cultural Anthropology, developed the conceptual framework that ties the deck to Jungian archetypes, consciousness studies, and comparative mythology.

Toney Brooks retired from broadcasting before spending years traveling and researching spirituality. His academic interests span comparative mythology, consciousness studies, and Jungian psychology as they connect to tarot. He holds a doctorate in Metaphysical Cultural Anthropology and a certification as a Spiritual Counselor.
Holly Sierra studied fine arts at SUNY Purchase before spending six years living and working in Asia, where Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, China, and the Philippines all left their mark on her visual sensibility. Her work is characterized by a blend of realism, folk art, and decorative fantasy, and she currently makes her home in Sedona, Arizona.
