Corrado Roi was born in Laveno Mombello in Lombardy’s Varese province. He began publishing stories in Il Monello and Staff di If before joining the creative team behind Dylan Dog in 1986 for Sergio Bonelli Editore, the horror series that became the best-selling title in Italian comics and established Roi as a master of dark, atmospheric illustration. He went on to draw episodes and covers for several other Bonelli series, including Mister No, Martin Mystère, Nick Raider, Zona X, Julia, Magico Vento, and Brendon.
