Road, this full-size 78-card deck centers people and communities that have been pushed to the margins, including body outlaws, endangered cultures, and those living outside colonial systems of belief. The Fool’s Journey here is about confronting systems of oppression, owning one’s truth, staying accountable, and reclaiming a connection to the body that trauma or social conditioning may have severed. Cristy C. Road was born on May 26, 1982 and is a Cuban-American illustrator, graphic novelist, and musician whose work explores feminism, queer culture, and social justice. She is widely known for her autobiographical zine writing about punk music and her life as a queer Latina, and has participated in the Sister Spit roadshow across multiple tours. She was the lead vocalist and guitarist for the queercore band The Homewreckers and currently performs with Choked Up.
