Virginijus Poshkus took Pamela Colman Smith’s original 1909 artwork and gave it a more vibrant treatment, replacing the thick black outlines of the traditional print with subtle shading that adds dimension and light to each scene. The resulting deck carries the same symbolism and structure that readers have relied on for over a century, but feels visually fresher and more immediate. The card backs present a star-filled deep blue sky. An instruction booklet with an introduction by Stuart R. Kaplan accompanies the deck.
